We are located on the Willow side of Hatcher Pass. Any vehicle can make it to our location in summer time, including RV and travel trailers. 4WD or AWD vehicles are highly recommended for any roads in Alaska. From Willow, begin up Hatcher Pass Road, you will see a sign in the winter that says Road Over Hatcher Pass CLOSED, ignore that because the road is only closed AFTER our property. All tours start right here and we have oversize parking available on site.
Please drive safely. The pavement ends about 5 miles from our location and expect snowy/icy conditions in the winter. The road is maintained and plowed year round.

We have flushing toilets at our facility but while on tour we are limited to mother nature.
Cold, but not as cold as you think. We have what's called a reverse temperature inversion so the higher we go the warmer it gets typically. Always plan for cold weather here in Alaska. -10°F is not uncommon but typically the temperature is between 0°F and 30°F in the winter. We are generally 20-30 degrees warmer than the town of Willow thanks to the temperature inversion, which makes us one of the most comfortable places you can ride snowmobiles in Alaska!
Sometimes! We have lots of Moose in the area along with wolves, coyotes, lynx and eagles. In the summer it's not uncommon to see a bear!
For our UTV tours just yourselves! Our machines are heated and enclosed so you don't need to wear full ski gear but warm clothes and good boots to walk around in the snow are great. We provide DOT helmets for all tours. For snowmobiling dress like you're going skiing. Think warm gloves, goggles, snow pants, and a jacket.
Yes you can! All rentals are complementary besides face coverings due to hygiene reasons. Face coverings are available for purchase for $15 each. We can fully outfit you for snowmobile tours if needed but bring what you have.
Yes, the machine you reserve is all yours. You will be responsible for driving it and following instructions from our professional guides. Anything outside of the scope of the tour you will be responsible for. See damage policy.
Nope, we never combine multiple groups in the same machine. That doesn't mean you’ll be the only ones on the trip. Other groups will likely be on the tour with you however we do offer Private tours for an additional $600 USD per group if you want to guarantee having a private guide.
Yes you can! You’ll get your own private guide and the tour all to yourself. Apply ‘Make it a Private Tour’ at checkout. Private tour charge is $600 USD addItional per group.
Sure can, just make separate bookings for UTVs and Snowmobiles for the same day and same time under the same name and everyone can go together.
Unfortunately no. The Aurora is a natural phenomenon. Although here in Alaska our chances are really good almost every night! Either way you will be on a one of a kind adventure into the Alaskan midnight. We do our best to maximize our chances of seeing the lights, however mother nature can never give us a 100% guarantee. We recommend booking our northern light tour at the beginning of your trip and purchase our cancellation insurance. This will allow you to reschedule up to 12 hrs before the tour to maximize your chance of seeing northern lights, if scheduling and weather doesn’t work out, you will be able to receive a full refund as long as the cancellation request is made 12 hrs prior to the tour. Need help reading the forecast and picking the best date? Give us a call (907-250-5419) 24hrs before your tour, we are happy to review the forecast with you and help maximize your chance of seeing northern lights!
It happens… Our guides will be in touch with you the day of your trip to update you on the weather conditions including cloud coverage and Aurora predictions. We recommend purchasing cancellation insurance that way you can move your tour dates around to maximize your chances of seeing the northern light. If you still don't see them while on the tour, we will offer a 30% discount to try again or go on one of our daytime tours within 1 year of your original booking as long as we have a full paying customer going out on the same tour. Give us a call to schedule your booking.
We recommend 10% - 20% of your booking total but you should tip based on the level of service you receive. Our guides go above and beyond to keep you safe and give you a once in a lifetime experience on all of our tours.
